DSD-36 - Double Sheet Sensor Double Sheet Detector

The sensor is potted and completely sealed. The sensors do not respond to small amounts of fine metal filings, oil or dirt. Each sensor has a proximity detector that reports METAL PRESENT and is activated when metal is within 2mm (0.08") of the sensor face. Therefore, the sensor must be kept at least 2mm from the surface of the metal if a thickness reading is not desired.

Features:

• The DSD-36 sensor works for sheet thicknesses from 0.25 – 2.3mm.

Installation:

To take a thickness reading, the sensor must be mounted so that the sheet is in contact with the sensor face. Each sensor has a proximity detector that detects when metal is within 2mm (0.08") of the sensor face. Therefore, if a thickness reading is not desired, the sensor must be kept at least 2mm from the surface of the metal.
